Authenticity Challenge

Maybe I am part of the lucky ones because I have but very few issues or concerns with PRO-FRIENDS. That is probably why I am quite shocked by the sheer number of bad reviews the company is getting.

I decided to invest on a house with them the moment my fiancé saw and fell in love with the model units shown to us in Lancaster New City. But I was no fool, I of course asked around, in the 1st place it was my dad’s cousin who recommended PRO-FRIENDS. He lives in a PRO-FRIENDS project in Buhay Na Tubig, actually he lives in Montefaro the village shown in GMA 7’s Imbestigador. Mind you, he is a happy resident who has been living there for five years now. He informed me that the unit of the lady who was interviewed was already 4 years of age and that like all the other homeowners she was responsible for the upkeep of her house. He said that they were taken aback by the feature.

20140730-191624-69384059.jpg

He was first to bring up the negative stories found in the net, he said that from what he knows there are about only 2 very active bashers of the company Twin Tidbits and Maria Merceded in facebook both of which aren’t real names and there is this lady named Micah Co who seems to also not be an actual resident nor actual name. He said it seems like a well organized propaganda. My uncle being a lawyer is thinking of offering his services to PRO-FRIENDS. He thinks that the company might be thinking that this will all go away like thrown mud in their faces it would dry up and fall off. We both think it isn’t the case, we think that the Cybercrime Law should be used to run after these irresponsible posers.

This is it.

I haven’t done this before, but the current situation calls for a break-away post. I am a blogger of good things (cheap buys, good deals, etc), but I have to do this. Today, let’s talk about Lancaster New City and PRO-FRIENDS. This is my investment and I have to protect its value.

PRO-FRIENDS—Dito ako bumili ng bahay last year.

My Ideal iPhone Accessories

Finally getting to purchase the smartphone you’re aiming for is really a very happy occasion. But when it comes to accessories, do you know which ones are really worth the expense? Here’s my list of ideal iPhone accessories:

Phone Protection – OtterBox Defender Series for iPhone 5 (Punked)

I love the two-toned colors. Plus, Otterbox is a dependable case brand. My brother owns one so I know.

Screen Guard – Mercury Anti-fingerprint Color Film for iPhone 5

I think matte screen protectors are perfect. No need to wipe constantly because of the visible fingerprints and oil.

TDK is a brand I’ve tested so many times. It’s worth the money!

Smartphones have dumb batteries; it’s a fact. Either carry your charger around and scavenge for power outlets or avail this wireless charger! It oozes of convenience.

How about you guys? What are your favorite/target phone accessories? I’d be happy to know your preferences. I might end up liking and buying them, too! J

Badminton Accessories

I’ve been playing badminton for years now. I used to play just for fun. But now, I am part of our school’s varsity Badminton team. (Sorry if that sounded like bragging.) I really enjoy the sport. It’s not always fun and games though. Caring for my racket is crucial since it’s a vital tool for me to win.

badminton accessories

I’m happy that some online shopping site is now selling badminton rackets and accessories! Due to practice, academics, and extracurricular activities, I can’t always go to the mall. But through online purchasing, I can ask our helper to accept the delivery of my badminton purchase. I recently bought a Karakal Badminton Grip PU Air and DHS Badminton Shuttlecock Tube of 12 pcs.

Watch / Clock Trivia

I’m not sure if there are people who enjoy learning about wristwatches/clocks (unless you make or sell one, I guess) but here are some nice trivia bits about these treasured time pieces.

clock trivia

  • The first time pieces only had an hour hand.
  • In the early days, wearing watches was for aesthetic purposes only. The accuracy of the watches’ verge and foliot movements was so poor. They were made as jewelry and novelties for the nobility, valued for their fine ornamentation, unusual shape, or intriguing mechanism, and accurate timekeeping was of very minor importance.
  • Patek Philippe created the first wristwatch in 1868.
  • The first digital electronic watch with an LED display was developed in 1970.
  • In 1990, Junghans offered the first radio-controlled wristwatch, the MEGA 1.
  • The Mercury-Atlas 9 Space Mission was guided home safely with a wristwatch and grease pencil.
  • Seiko introduced the first quartz watch in 1969 at $1,250.00. The Swiss made the prototype of the watch in 1967, they just couldn’t mass produce it. The original discovery was made by 2 American engineers in 1930’s.
  • The thinnest watch ever made was the Concord Delirium IV. It was just 0.98 mm thick including a gold case and bracelet.

Travel Accessories You Should Consider Bringing

travel

If you’re the type of person who gets to travel by plane a lot (whether by choice or by obligation), then you should consider investing in the following travel accessories to help you have a hassle-free flight experience.

Electronic Luggage Scale – This compact weighing scale can help you avoid charges caused by excess baggage. It’s best to leave a lot of space before going somewhere so that you can still put in some souvenirs by the time you need to go home. Hallohallomall.com offers it at P289.00.

Luggage Lock – Of course, the security of your belongings should be prioritized. Avoid losing anything by using a nice luggage lock. A combination lock frees you from worrying about the key. Online Shop offers Wenger at P849.00.

Bag Tag – Having the same luggage or bag with another fellow traveler may occur. Losing yours may also happen so it’s best to have a bag tag that would indicate your name and contact details. This way, good Samaritans can easily give you back your lost luggage. Online Shop offers a nice tag designed like a “Safe Journey” amulet for P169.00.

Sleeping mask – Although some airlines hand out sleeping masks for very long flights, it’s still best to have your own so that you’re sure that you can use one in case none are handed out or the supply ran out. Found one at Sulit for only P40.00

Comfy neck pillow – Notice that I added “comfy” since not all neck pillows are comfortable. Some airlines may offer free neck pillows but at least yours will surely provide the comfort you want. It has a hypoallergenic neck pillow for only P179.00.

Quirky Bookmarks for the Bookworm!

Apart from an awesome read, bookmarks are a bookworm’s friend. Bookmarks are very simple objects since they’re just used to help readers quickly get to the page of a book where they left off. Bookmarks can be bought or made; bedazzled and customized. But some people try to be more creative.

Take a look of some quirky bookmarks I found online. I actually would like to have some of them. 🙂

Interesting DIY Projects from Ordinary Household Items

I’m a busy person during the weekdays. Because I’m used to being busy, I find it hard to do so little during the weekends. I like to rest and relax after a busy week. But when boredom strikes, I like to get a little crafty. Because of that, I signed up for Pinterest and found some neat DIY projects I plan to do.

Wine Bottle Filled with Lights

Light-filled bottles are cute and whimsical. They can serve as night lights for kids. An empty wine bottle, Christmas lights, a drill and voila!

DIY Recycled Magazine Organizer

I think it’s a waste to just throw away shoe boxes and old magazines so this is a very nice DIY. It’s a very interesting-looking craft piece, too.

Newspaper Nail Art

Never imagined newspaper can help create such a neat nail art! I’ll try this with my current fave nail polish – Orly Green with Envy.

DIY: (How to) Shirt Braiding

With an old tank top and scissors, a cute new top is born! I also like the idea about using the excess fabric as a headband.
